Copper River at the 6th Annual Disruptive Technologies Conference
Jason Phillippe, Director of Intelligence Programs and Security Operations led a panel of security experts at the 6th Annual Disruptive Technologies Conference (view the conference agenda here.) The panel focused on Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) challenges and solutions and delved into new policy changes on the horizon that effect SCIF and secure facility design, build-outs, accreditation, operations, and management. Jason has an extensive background in physical security and SCIF accreditation and is a current member of the Industrial Security Working Group.
Small Business Administration Award
Copper River received a contract award from the Small Business Administration to provide $3.5M of computer hardware, software, and services in support of their IPV6 planning and engineering program. This effort at SBA supports their response to the Administrator of the Office of E-Government and Information Technology who directed Agency Chief Information Officers (CIO’s) to begin planning for transition of their Agency’s IP4 networks to IPv6 technology and standards. The SBA solicited Copper River to assist in the design, scope, and implementation of this effort which encompasses a “forklift” refresh of all components of the SBA’s network infrastructure across 5 locations, including the HQ, and COOP sites.
Intelligence Community Award
Copper River continued its expanding footprint into the Intelligence Community with a new contract award for training support for an Intelligence Community client. Copper River will be providing subject matter expert support to the Government Special Security Officer Course, teaching modules on Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) construction and accreditation processes, Communications Security, (COMSEC) Operations Security, (OPSEC) counterintelligence, and personnel security.
Transportation Security Administration Security Work
Copper River joined the Criterion Systems, Inc. Team in supporting TSA’s Cyber Security Program. Copper River security specialists will be providing security policy development, IV&V of Certification & Accreditation efforts, and cyber security program development support. This new subcontract further expands the Copper River – Criterion Systems teaming relationship and our pursuit of joint security work in the Department of Homeland Security market.
Copper River Opens New Reston Virginia Office
Copper River took a major step forward in building out its' Washington DC-based operation with the opening of their Reston Virginia office. The company’s recent growth increases due to new contract awards required larger office space to accommodate new technical staff and infrastructure support personnel. The Reston office gives Copper River a new base of operation to continue to execute its growth strategy and work closer with its DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland clients.
Copper River Wins New Air Force Enterprise Architecture and Systems Engineering Contract
Copper River was awarded a new contract to support the US Air Force. Contract details are forthcoming pending approval of our press release by the government.
Copper River Supporting NASA's Certification & Accreditation Program
Copper River recently joined the SecureInfo Team providing Certification and Accreditation Support Services to all ten space flight and research centers at NASA. Copper River Security Engineers and Analysts will support SecureInfo in the recertification effort of NASA IT Systems and the Independent Verification and Validation of IT Security Controls.
Copper River Wins First NASA SEWP Task Order
Copper River was recently awarded its first ever NASA SEWP Task Order for $466,000. The award was for network components and cabling for a US government client.
