Tribal 8(a) Customer Benefits |
Tribal 8(a) firms are entitled to unique privileges under applicable federal regulations.
These are among the benefits to customers of Tribal 8(a) firms:
- Tribal 8(a) firms are entitled to receive sole-source contracts of any value. Tribal firms are not subject to the $3 million limitation on sole-source contracts applicable to other entities.
13 C.F.R 124, 123, 311(b)
- Tribal 8(a) firms offer contracting officers and clients the ability to combine multiple vendors' equipment and/or services into an integrated design build, and maintain solutions in a single procurement.
- Copper River Information Technoloy's 8(a) sole-source contract awards may not be protested.

- When determining the size of a firm owned by a tribe the Small Business Administration considers only the size of the tribal subsidiary at issue. The parent entity or any other subsidiaries owned by that tribe or ANC are not affiliated.
